The use of winter equipment for all motor vehicles will be mandatory from November 15 to March 31 next year. Drivers who fail to comply with the rules will have to pay a fine ranging from 300 to 2,000 euros, depending on the violation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
The MIA earlier explained that a fine of 300 euros to 2,000 euros would be imposed on a legal entity for a misdemeanor, if it ordered or permits its vehicle to participate in traffic without winter equipment, and the order is in effect.
"A fine of 50 euros to 150 euros shall be imposed on a driver, ie a natural person who participates in traffic on the road with a vehicle that does not have winter equipment, and the order is effective. Participates in traffic on the road with a vehicle that does not have winter equipment in the winter period" the MIA said.
